Important Note on E-Verify

New Hire Reporting requirements are separate from and not related to E-Verify requirements. South Carolina law requires employers to verify the legal status of all new hires through E-Verify. There are penalties for failure to do so. Visit the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation’s web site for information on how to enroll in E-Verify at www.llr.state.sc.us/Immigration.
